GCSO is proud to be the
residence
ballet orchestra for the Northeast Atlanta Ballet Company.
The
Ballet Orchestra personnel is selected through audition from active members of the Symphony
Orchestra. The Ballet Orchestra will perform
the Tchaikovsky score to "The Nutcracker " and "Swan Lake" during the
2008-2009 season and will be the residence orchestra through the
2011-2012 season.
The Ballet Orchestra completed 6 performances of "The Nutcracker" and 5
performances of "The Sleeping Beauty" last season to a total audience of
5500!
