What is Music Lessons Network?

Music Lessons Network strives to be the nation's largest and most trusted network connecting highly qualified music teachers with students of all ages and levels of ability.  Music Lessons Network is a division of New School of Music, Inc., who has been serving musicians’ needs since 1997.

 

Why should I use Music Lessons Network?

Music Lessons Network is your first and best stop for locating music lessons on Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Saxophone, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Baritone, Euphonium, Tuba, Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, Piano, Voice, & Guitar in music studios and homes across the nation. Our instructors are highly qualified and experienced professionals, certified through college and/or conservatory training, and professional performing success.

 

Is Music Lessons Network only in the U.S.?

Music Lessons Network is currently offered in all 50 states.  In the near future we will expand beyond the U.S.

 

How much are lessons?

Each teacher sets their own rates and sets their own policies.  The teacher will be in contact with you directly after you send your lesson interest form with regards to their rates and policies.

 

Where and when will I have my lesson?

Lessons may be held at the teacher’s studio, home, church, your home, etc.  The teacher will be in contact with you directly after you send you lesson interest form with regards to their lesson location and available times.

 

Why is their not a teacher in my area?

Music Lessons Network just launched our national network in 2007 and we are aggressively adding teachers daily. If we do not have an instructor available in your area, please contact us and let us know what you are looking for.  We will attempt to email you contact information of teachers NOT currently in our network.

 

Do I have to provide my email and phone number?

Yes, you must provide a valid email and phone number on your lesson interest form.  You will receive a confirmation of the information sent to the teacher right on your screen when you submit your form.  Please confirm that the information you submitted is correct.  If it is not, simply re-submit.  Some teachers prefer to call students for lessons and others prefer emailing the student. Music Lessons Network does not share your information with anyone other that your prospective teacher.

 

Why did my teacher not contact me?

Sometimes a teacher may not receive your message do to internet problems, etc. If you don’t hear back from the teacher within a day or two, you should try to re-submit your information. If you still do not get a response, please contact us  and let us know you did not get a response back from the teacher you selected. Please make sure you provide the teachers name within the email.

Biography: A native of St. Louis, MO and the daughter of a piano teacher, Janna Williamson began formal piano lessons at the age of four.  She graduated summa cum laude from the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music with a bachelor's of music degree in piano performance. While at Wheaton, she was the overall winner of the annual concerto competition and was twice given the opportunity to perform Shostakovich's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Wheaton College Symphony Orchestra.  She began teaching piano during high school and now teaches several traditional private piano students of all levels and ages, including adults.  A member of the Music Teachers' National Association, she is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music. She is also a member of the National Guild of Piano Teachers, a certified Yamaha instructor, and a licensed Musikgarten teacher.
