Recently relocating to the Atlanta area from Oklahoma, Lisa Youngquist brings a wealth of knowledge to help her flute students succeed.  Lisa has over 25 years of flute instruction experience gained through teaching private lessons in both Oklahoma & Texas schools.  She has taught students ranging in age from 6 to 70 years old.  Many of her students have won spots in district & state honor ensembles through the years and several have gone on to pursue music professionally.  After graduating from the University of Oklahoma, Lisa completed additional advanced flute study at the University of North Texas.  She especially excels in diagnosing technique issues that may be holding a student back from reaching their full playing potential.  Lisa firmly believes that conducting her lessons in a positive & constructive manner is the key to her continued teaching success.  When not instructing students, Lisa is quite active performing in a number of Atlanta area groups including the Gwinnett Symphony Wind Orchestra, the Jubal Chorus Orchestra, and the Atlanta Flute Ensemble.
