of Music - Vocal Performance, Northwestern University, Bachelor of Music
- Vocal Performance, Wheaton College. Malia Thompson, soprano, is
a 2004 graduate of Northwestern University. At Northwestern, she studied
with Karen Brunssen, Sherill Milnes, Richard Boldrey and Alan Darling.
Malia also sang the roles of Meg in Little Women, Elisetta in The Secret
Marriage and Marcellina in Le Nozze di Figaro in the mainstage
producitions. Smaller producitions included Dido in Dido and Aeneas and
Dorabella in Cosi fan Tutte. Most recently Malia was a finalist in the
International Institute for Opera and Poetry in Verona, Italy for the
role of Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni. In the summer of 2005, Malia spent
time with Des Moines Metro Opera as a young artist.

Biography: Josh is a
graduate of Flathead High School in Kalispell Montana. Josh started
playing the drums in 6th grade. In grade school, Junior High and high
school, he participated in all programs available - Marching Band, Jazz
Band, Symphonic Band, Pep Band, and Orchestra. He also drummed for
several local rock bands, performing various gigs throughout the
Flathead Valley. In high school, he had the honor of receiving a Senior
Band Award for “outstanding contribution to the FHS Band” and the Louis
Armstrong Jazz Award (only one recipient per school year). Although he
had formal lessons when he was in grade school and high school, he has
been primarily self taught since. He now has an extensive library of
study material he has collected over the years.
